Derry Church welcomes back Julia O'Brien, the Paul H. and Grace L. Stern Chair in Old Testament Studies and Professor of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament at Lancaster Theological Seminary.
The term "prophetic" is used in diverse ways within religious and secular circles, sometimes linked with social justice and sometimes referring to insider knowledge about the future. Julia O'Brien discusses what it means and where the differing views come from and shares some of her research about the ways that Christians over the centuries have responded to self-proclaimed prophet.
